I’m sure that every person in the world that has ever played video games on a console or pc, probably has at least heard of Fortnite by now. In my opinion, this might have been the biggest trend in 2018 and it has brought so much attention now. It’s just amazing how Epic was just a small company with games like Paragon, then all of a sudden started making billions of dollars bringing attention to millions of people worldwide with this one game. How they can mix Minecraft and other shooting games into a battle royale. Ninja, who has amassed over 21 million subscribers, 13 million followers on twitch, 10 million on Instagram, and 4 million on Twitter so far. At first, everybody was playing this game, but now, it seems like only middle schoolers are keeping this game alive. Despite what the Fortnite community asks for, Epic has not been satisfying the community and fanbase very much when they removed double pump and shotguns. They have changed so many weapons in Fortnite, it’s just an entirely different game now. They nerfed it in such a way, that noob players have an advantage over pros and the game just doesn’t favor those who have skill in the game and it becomes more luck based. They have put in so many crazy, arbitrary, and trivial things like planes, biomes, shopping carts, golf carts, and a bunch of weird items and explosives into this action-packed game. lots of people have come to the conclusion that this game is merely childish and just isn’t the same anymore. People have gotten tired of the game and are hoping for the game to die as speculations occur. Season 8 is right around the corner and there is no hope, even if Fortnite tried to redeem themselves, people wouldn’t play because many have lost interest, now that there are new trends happening and Apex Legends has risen. Ninja, honestly to me is simply overrated, he might be equally matched with Tefu(which is debatable), but I feel like he doesn’t deserve this amount of fame and attention. He is very selfish and egotistical and has no respect for the people he plays with on his live stream. He gets mad when people try to surpass him in Fortnite because he thinks he’s omnipotent and the number 1 player in the world. He complains all the time when he dies and just makes excuses too. He bans every single endeavor that he tries to overcome and succumbs and uses Epic as his puppet. He is biased and stereotypical and makes up reasons, like when he said he doesn’t want to play with a girl because he thinks it will clickbait his videos, he thinks it can make relationships like flirting and says his wife will think he’s cheating. Ridiculous and Frivolous! But anyway, that’s my opinion on the game now, never really understood the hype and why people get so addicted to this game. But I think Call of Duty is harder in my opinion.
