Honestly, as I’ve come forth to say, 2018 was not very good overall, especially for movies. Not many movies came out. I’m aware that movies such as Avengers Infinity War, Black Panther, Spiderman, Incredibles 2, Deadpool 2, Wreck it Ralph 2, The Predator, Venom, and so on and so forth. But 2019 is going to be an awesome year for movies. We got Warner Brothers making movies like Shazam, Godzilla King of Monsters, and Hellboy. We got Marvel making Avengers Endgame, Captain Marvel, Dark Phoenix, and Glass(which already came out). Horror movies such as Captive State, Pet Sematary, The Curse of La Llorona, and Brightburn. Disney is making lots of great movies this year such as Aladdin, Dumbo, Frozen 2, The Lion King, and Toy Story 4. We also got movies from other companies that I’m super stoked for, which are Pokemon Detective Pikachu, John Wick 3, Ad Astra, and The Beach Bum. Also, not to mention the 9th episode of Star Wars.

I’ll admit, 2019 is Disney’s time to shine. That Lion King trailer brought the most nostalgia and brought back so many memories. The graphics and visuals were fantastic too. The first movie that was released over a decade ago was a huge hit. The way they symbolize lions and the storyline was marvelous, as well as the character development throughout the movie. The sequel was alright and so was the prequel before it. But can’t wait to see the 4k live action version! Now for Aladdin, the trailer that came out recently has gotten tremendous hate because of the way the actors look. The genie(who is apparently Will Smith) did not look appealing to a lot of people as they said he didn’t fit the role and didn’t look neither act well either. Jafar also looked younger and wiser than the original movie had portrayed him as. Princess Jasmine wasn’t looking too good either in my opinion. Then, later on, the Frozen 2 trailer came out. That trailer excited many fans and that was a turnaround. Lots of suspense and enthusiasm in that trailer. Dumbo looked very good as well, it brought back some old vibes as well as Toy Story 4.

Marvel is making some really good movies too. I’m stoked for Avengers Endgame after seeing the cliffhanger at the end of Infinity War. The recent trailer reached my expectations as well as they also introduced some heroes that never made an entrance in the first movie that is Ant-Man and Hawkguy. As well as Captain Marvel who might be the last hope, not to mention the live action movie that they are making for her before Endgame comes out. The Glass movie really was unexpected when I saw the trailer in the previews in the Regal Movies and Youtube. I didn’t get to see the movie yet, but it seems thrilling with the new villains they clandestinely keep cloaking with spooks. Warner Brothers are making Godzilla King of Monsters which I’m really amped up for, I saw the King Kong movie back in 2016 and I saw the end credits scene and couldn’t wait to see the continuation of it. I can see all of the monsters fight in 4k live action and I can’t wait. John Wick is one of my favorite action movies to watch and the first 2 were amazing, I almost got out of my chair just seeing all the brutality and action going on. I idolize him as well because he’s a skilled agent and fighter. I also can’t wait for Pokemon Detective Pikachu because I always enjoyed Pokemon as a kid and it’s nice to see that they’re turning this into a real live action comedy movie. I can’t wait for all of these movies because I know 2019 is going to be a great year for them!
