There it was, hard to miss the glistening yellow shooting a glare shooting off the 68 Chevy Impala. That is how I knew I was at the right garage. The cars coming off the lift, roared like a lion killing its prey.
Hi- Flow exhaust, is a great place to get your exhaust work done along with other maintenance needs. They are located off euclid avenue Manassas Park about a 30 minute drive from here. The garage is extremely hard to miss because it always has flashy cars and lowriders right in front of the garage. As soon as you walk into the shop you are greeted by an employee, but the first thing you will notice is how organized everything is. Usually, you walk into a garage and the employees 9 times out of 10 are already annoyed and impassioned. Here they talk to you as how you are doing and what you want to get done. However, their are some negatives, but nothing that will stand out. Mostly small things like the waiting area is kind of small, and there isn’t much to keep you entertained while waiting. The other negative part is that there hours are from 9am-6pm, making it hard to get work done after coming from work or school, so you can bet that they will be very busy on the weekend, and evenings on weekdays.
I have gone there many times and each time I’ve been there, I never waited more than an hour. The best part is, is that they do honest work. I went in with a couple of my friends to get some exhaust work done, and was blown away with the how well they did it and how quick they did it. Now, the most important part is the pricing, most shops you go to can charge anywhere from $400 to even $600. At Hi-Flow custom exhaust they charge anywhere from $80 to $170 depending on how much you need to get done. Also, they allow you to look at what they are doing to your car, so you can see for yourself that they aren’t messing with anything else. I have been there more than a couple times and trusted them enough to not look at what they were doing. I have worked on many cars doing custom exhaust work, regular maintenance, and doing other performance mods. Hi- flow exhaust does everything I expect a mechanic to do, most mechanics lie and cheat, saying that you need a new part or messing with the sensors making the engine light come on. Here they do honest work and will bring you to the garage if they see something wrong, or something that may need replacing. They communicate to you and tell you exactly what they think you should do, and how they would do it.
Finally, the thing that makes them stand out it is that they are a family owned business, they want to work on cars. They treat the cars they work on like it is their own car. I have gotten many things done from them, and always have been satisfied with their work. The most important part is that after getting my work done, I have never had anything go wrong with my car. I was able to get out of the shop without breaking my $100. They also, have a website where you can find pricing and more information on the things they do, and background information on why they are trusted with working on cars.
Authors bio:
His name is Abhey and he is a senior at John Champe High School, He has done plenty of modifications on his own cars, and on other peoples cars. Growing up in Baltimore he would always see people doing cool things with their cars, and started hanging around the garages trying to learn what they were doing. Slowly he started working on some of the cars in random garages doing random performance mods. later he ended up working in nicer garages doing performance work on nicer cars.
