Going to the Chuy’s in Fairfax was a remarkable experience. They were very welcoming, the decor is very colorful yet presented professionally, food is fantastic, and the staff is very skillfully trained. This Mexican restaurant that has two different locations – one in Fairfax and then one in Sterling. I believe the Chuy’s in Fairfax is the best one because it’s more welcoming and the staff is better trained.
When I first moved to Loudoun County, I realized that in order to find good restaurants, you have to go far for a good place; therefore I was searching up different Mexican restaurants in the 20 mile area and I came upon Chuy’s. When I first looked at the restaurant online, I fell in love with the decor and listed below were the directions, which seemed easy to follow. According to yelp.com, I also saw that the ratings were high, around a 4.4, which is pretty good (Yelp, 2019). The only setback to Chuy’s is you cannot make reservations, so you have to wait for a booth/table, which can be a wait of 15-40 minutes during the weekends, when they are most busy.
When I walked in, I saw all the colorful decorations and unique art that they have displayed on the walls, very intriguing. Being a first timer, they always offer you their 10 homemade sauces. I then realized how accommodating they were when requested one of the sauces for my meal. It showed how they were insistent on making sure we were pleased with our experience there.
When you first look at the menu, it is designed the same as other menus: appetizers in the beginning that are each packed with their own unique flavor, soups and healthy Mexican themed salads that are good to get something light. Then a huge burrito section that reminds you what you’re paying for, fajitas that always spark your taste buds, tacos, and of course the crispy enchiladas. Next to the description of each entre, there is the price listed, making it seemingly affordable.
Researching the prices online, they did not provide them, so you would have to go in the restaurant in order to see them. However generally speaking, they are pretty tolerable, for example the steak burrito is priced at $13.99.
Whenever I ate there, I always enjoyed my experience and the vibe was always easy going. The colorful decor, hanging paintings all around, rims gleaming from the ceiling that catch your eye, and of course the alluring smell that makes your mouth water will always be an unforgettable experience.
