100 Word Challenge (Opaque Fate)

Hello everyone!  Today I have overcome my writer’s block!  As you guys may know,  I get my inspiration from books or movies.  Today’s story is based on a book called, The One Safe Place!  This book is eerie and very dystopian.  I remember near the end of the book the main character is in a room in a tower and knows someone is outside the door, but he can’t move.  Anyways, the prompt is: suddenly, darkness enveloped the room.  Happy reading!

I sit in an unfamiliar place and can’t remember who I am.  I hear footsteps and hear them coming from behind the door.  A man behind the door moves closer.  The frosted glass blurs his shadow so that I can’t make out what he looks like.  He knocks on the door and suddenly darkness enveloped the room and my spots dance on the wall. My weight pulls me towards the ground, and my head slams on the floor. I feel my consciousness slip from me and feel helpless.

I hope you enjoyed reading this story!  My goal before the end of the school year is to be featured at least once.  If you have questions, concerns, or blog URLS, drop them in the comments below.  Also, don’t forget to sign up for my email list so that you know everytime I post.  As always, remember to live your life with soul.

  1. Keeley –

I always enjoy reading your posts. I especially enjoy how you provide connections and background information in your introduction and the invite conversation and interaction in your closing. I’m super proud of your efforts, and I can’t wait to read your last 100WC of the school year. Keep writing through the summer, though, because this space is your space. The 100WC continues all summer long. Here’s the link: https://100wc.net/
Check out Teen Ink, too! 🙂

Keep on writing entertaining stories for the world!
