Hello everyone! I am very excited to share today’s story with you. This week’s prompt is: as it let out a pitiful howl. When I heard this prompt, instead of thinking of a wolf or animal, I thought of a person. I tried to be descriptive in this story. My hope is that with this story I get featured! Happy reading.
It’s been 100 days, and I’ve started to lose hope. He still lays on the sterile, cold, white sheets. I know that inside he is trying to tell me something, but can’t. I stare at his chapped lips waiting for him to tell me he’s alright, to tell me that he’s there, to tell me I haven’t lost him. I refocus on his mouth as it lets out a pitiful howl. I feel a huge wave of hope radiate through my body. Now I know he’s alright, I know he’s there, and I know he’s not ready to go yet.
Yay, you made it. If you couldn’t tell today’s story was exactly 100 words! Also if you’re bored, go read a book because the day this is being posted is World Book Day! Anyways, if you have any questions, concerns, or blog URLs, comment them down below. And if you enjoyed this post subscribe to my email list so you can read more stories like these. Congratulations on writing a story of exactly 100 words, Keeley! The official term for this microfiction is a DRABBLE. A DRIBBLE is a story of exactly 50 words. I wonder…could you write one of those! 🙂
You’re doing great work!

Hi Mrs.Rombach,
Maybe I will make a dribble during the summer!
Good idea,
