The Jubilant Vacation

By: Ryan Peters

The radiant sun that gives

you terrible sunburn.

The grainy sand that feels

weird when you walk on it.

The waves roaring when they

are crashing down.

The whiff you get of salt

from the ocean.

The taste of appetizing food

you get from the resturaunts

on the shore.

My vacation was the best.

Time for Something

By: Anya Smith

Feet. hundreds of feet.

Walking, NO, running.

In defeet.

All states in panic.

All states of panic.

Schools are screaming.

People are scheming.

None of the states are doing something

or anything.

At least they can do is patrol.

But, No something

or Anything.

Now everything is painted red.

My First Audition by Heather McLaughlin

It was late November.

I had my first play audition.

I walked into the auditorium and found a place to sit.

Excitement flowed through my eyes

as the director called my name.

I ran to the stage without an ounce of fear.

All eyes were on me while waiting for the director.

As the director put her pencil down, and became ready,

I took a deep breath,

and let the words flow from my mouth in perfect melody.

Once I was done,

I walked back to my seat with pride and confidence.

Cancer

By:Bradley Robinette

The horrible illness that’s hard to treat

All the different types

Cancer is really hard to beat

You just have to hold tight

Sometimes you can get treated

in little that a day

So be free into the world you go

let’s get out of the hospital, “What do you say?”

Now Cancer sucks real bad

And now it’s time to stop

So cancer get out of here

before we come on top

The Beach

by: Hudson Hostetter

As I walk along the beach

with my feet scorched in sand

the palm tree in the distance called me

I sat down under the tree and watched the

Amberjacks chase down Mullet

ghost crabs walking along the shore

island birds flying over the water

looking for some food

coral cutting through the waves

snorkelers looking for wildlife

fishermen hoping to catch dinner

and families settling in for the night.
