Anyone flying to the U.S. from outside the country will be required to provide a negative COVID-19 test. The new rule will be implemented in around two weeks, and will apply to any international travelers coming to the United States. Following a similar rule, which was passed last month for passengers traveling from the United Kingdom, this new effort seeks to help minimize the spread of the virus, especially with the new strain that is projected to hit in March.
This new restriction requires both U.S. citizens and international travelers to take a COVID-19 test within three days of their flight to the U.S. Additionally, they must provide written proof or documentation of the test result to the airline company.
