FACS meets World of Religions

Mrs. Cathleen Gough, FACS and Mrs. Shelly DeMartino, Social Studies, teamed up to strengthen the understanding of foods in religion.  Mrs. Gough led the students through making and braiding Challah Bread during the 10 Days of Awe, a Jewish period of reflection and repentance that takes place between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. The students of Mrs. DeMartino’s World of Religions class braided, baked and took home their own mini Challah and discussed how food is used in a variety of religions.
