Congratulations to the following students for being awarded as a national finalist in a project-based learning competition sponsored by NASA called Hunch!
Eileen Domingue, Ryan Hess, Aly Gold, Addison Cooper, Iona Peart, Matthew Blackin, and Henry Panning!
The HUNCH mission is to empower and inspire students through a Project Based Learning program where high school students learn 21st century skills and have the opportunity to launch their careers through the participation in the design and fabrication of real world valued products for NASA.
These Students participated by designing, building, and testing a Cube Sat Satelite that addresses the issue of the Cube Sat overheating as it operates in the vacuum of space. Students participated in both a preliminary and critical design review, in which their solutions and ideas were reviewed by NASA engineers and feedback was provided toward creating a final project. Having met the needs of the project, this group of students was recognized as a top team and invited to Johnson Space Center in Houston for a final review.
