Corona Upstages Heritage High School’s Plays

The Heritage High School theater department is rehearsing for a play.

This year the Heritage theatre department is dealing with how they are going to move forward with the play  production during the pandemic. Is Corona going to end play productions or is the theater department going to push through?

Managing the play production right now is a little hectic due to coronavirus. Neve Holloway is a student in the theatre department. According to Neve Holloway,  “the play we are doing  is Whodunnit which  is being filmed on stage, but we all have to be masked and gloved the whole time.”

Even though there will not be a live audience you can still watch the video. Since we are currently in a pandemic the process is a little different. “They are having to have their temperatures checked, and if people need to sit down in the auditorium  there are seats taped off. If anyone has symptoms they are rushed into a different room. If no one is following the rules everything will be shut down,” Holloway explained. So as you can see they are very strict when it comes to health, but hopefully everything will go back to normal soon.
