The Dream SMP is a Minecraft server that rapidly grew its popularity over quarantine. The server started over a year ago, on the 25th of April. The Minecraft community, which was once inactive, was popular once again. The content creator Dream and his friend GeorgeNotFound were the two that started the Dream SMP. A few other content creators were with them at the start, but the two who originally started the SMP were Dream and GeorgeNotFound. Since then, many content creators, within the Minecraft community, like TommyInnit, Sapnap, QuackityHQ, and others are now active members of the Dream SMP. When you first join the SMP, you’re granted three canon lives. Whenever you are to die in a major event, you lose a cannon life. Once you run out of your lives, you’re dead for good, like WilburSoot. He lost his last cannon life blowing up a nation he built from his own two hands.
The SMP is mainly known for roleplay on a Minecraft server. Normally, you would not expect a Minecraft server with a few friends to turn into this huge concept, with tons of different detailed and complex storylines. The whole concept of role-playing started when Dream and TommyInnit piqued interest in the discs. That led to the start of the Disc War. That war had been on and off since the start of the server and came to a close on the 20th of January this year. TommyInnit and Tubbo were confronted by Dream, who suggested they have the final war, to end it all. The winner of the prolonged war was TommyInnit, and his friend Tubbo. Soon after, Dream was sentenced to prison, indefinitely. Because of all the crimes he had committed, the prison was the only answer. The prison is run by Awesamdude, the prison warden. That was the end of the Disc War saga, but not at all the end of Dream’s misdoings.
Another main plot of the Dream SMP would be the Eggpire. The Eggpire itself became a thing on January 15th of this year. The members currently consist of BadBoyHalo, AntFrost, Ponk, Punz, and Hannahxxrose. CaptainPuffy, Awesamedude, and Purpled were once former members, but currently, they aren’t a part of the Eggpire. The Eggpire has one main goal; to take over the server using the powers within the Egg. The reason this Egg became so powerful, is because of the Blood Vines. The Blood Vines were known as an outlet of chaos, and anyone who got near them would become corrupted almost immediately. There was a Red Banquet held the other day, for the egg to lure innocent members of the SMP into Eggpire territory. The Eggpire leaders, BadBoyHalo, and Antfrost surrounded the guests in vast amounts of lava, after making a hopeful toast, making it impossible to escape. It led to a false sense of hope throughout the party guests. With nowhere to run, the party guests were frantic, not knowing what to do with themselves. Some of the attendees had plans to stop the Eggpire leaders, but alas they failed. However, just shortly after Foolish_Gamers lost a canon life to sacrifice, QuackityHQ and his two assassins, Purpled and Technoblade came in soon after to the rescue. Antfrost, one of the leaders of the Eggpire, soon after lost a cannon life to Captain Puffy, who had snuck in weapons to protect herself. By the end of the night, what was left of the Eggpire had scattered about in the lands of the Dream SMP. Since then, there have been no new updates in regards to the Eggpire, and no one knows how it currently stands.
The final main plot of the Dream SMP that by far is one of my favorites, is the L’Manberg/Pogtopia era. L’Manberg first gained its independence from the Dream SMP on August 2nd of last year, and became one of the first countries to lead on its own. The members of L’Manberg consisted of Fundy, Nihachu, WilburSoot, TommyInnit, Tubbo, Eret, and JackManifold. Eret soon betrayed the country, blowing up L’Manberg in the final control room. The country lost its independence on September 22nd when WilburSoot and TommyInnit lost the 2020 election for the presidency of L’Manberg. It was shortly renamed Manberg, by dictator Jschlatt. November 16th, 2020 L’Manberg finally gained its independence back and was reformed, but was soon blown up by WilburSoot, who was the former president of L’Manberg. He shortly killed himself, by telling his father to stab him with a sword. He left the country to Tubbo, who had to rebuild L’Manberg from the ground up again for the second time. With everything on the Dream SMP having three canon lives, L’Manberg did too. On January 6th, 2021, L’Manberg was blown up for a final time by Technoblade, Philza, Dream, and Nihachu, making L’Manberg canonically gone.
There are many more plots within the Dream SMP that could be mentioned, but there’s just not nearly enough room. The Dream SMP is an incredible thing that has become so much more than originally planned. With all the roleplaying and acting, it gets intriguing to follow along with.
