Melody tried out  for the team because her teacher Mr. Dimming said “That if Melody could pass the test that the questions were not hard enough”. Catherine told Mrs. V what he had said and Mrs. V was upset so she wanted Melody to prove Mr. Dimming’s wrong. After that they started to study everyday until the practice quiz to get on the team. When she made it on people were surprised. She had to prove that she was smart enough to have a spot on the team.
