Students still have access to our MackinVIA eBooks collection, but we’re very excited to also be able to offer curbside pickup of books this year as well! We had our first curbside pickups this past Monday, and it was so awesome to see some familiar faces picking up library books.
The process may change slightly as we figure out what works best, but as of right now, this is how a student requests a book for curbside pickup. We’re also offering library book pickup from Book Bus stops, but that information will be shared in a future blog post. Curbside pickup only happens on Mondays.
- Look up the book in the IPAC to see if it’s in our collection
- Fill out the book request Google Form by 1 pm on the Friday before pickup. You must be logged in with your school Google account to access the form.
- Wait for an email from a member of library staff to confirm the book pickup
- Show up at Farmwell the next Monday during 7:30 am – 4 pm
- Look for the Library Curbside Pickup table

- Ring the doorbell on the table sign

- Step back and wait for a member of library staff to come outside and help you
- Return library books you are finished with to the Book Return box by the front door of the school any day of the week, Monday-Friday. We can even take library books from other LCPS schools; we’ll make sure they’re returned to the proper school.

Here’s a video that walks you through the entire process from looking up the book in the IPAC, through filling out the form, to picking up the book:
