Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa Claus, right down Santa Claus lane… Hi Everyone! Welcome back to my blog. I want to start off by saying I hope you had an amazing holiday season. Christmas felt a little different this year, but it was still equally enjoyable.
Starting off with the first tradition, which we sadly couldn’t do this year is, going to St. Louis for Christmas. St. Louis is the city where my Grandma and my Great-Grandma live. I love visiting there because we always go with my cousins. We have so much fun, we always play in the snow, we challenge each other at board games, and we go shopping. We couldn’t travel this year, but we did get to FaceTime.
Our second tradition is making homemade cookies. Any other time of the year, we would just get the Nestle premade dough, so all we have to do is shape it. For Christmas, however, we make it from scratch. Both cookies taste delicious, so the end product doesn’t taste different. What makes this tradition special is the experience. Now the last tradition, which is opening presents Christmas morning. I’m sure that many families do this, but we just thought I would mention it. Sometimes, even if me and my sister are well behaved, we can open one small gift on Christmas Eve.
We have reached the end of the post. I encourage you to leave a comment on what your favorite family traditions are or were. Thanks for reading my holiday post this holiday season and have a happy new year!!!
