All About An Updated Marissa

A point for each year of my life. 13 points, what about you?

*Virtual Hug* Hi Everyone! I haven’t posted in a while so please bare with me. New year, new me. I did an all about me post last year when I was in 7th grade. A lot can change in a year so, this is how much my life has changed. Please Enjoy! šŸ™‚

  1. Two things, One, wasnā€™t really picky so you could put food in me like I was a fast food bag. Two, Iā€™m sure my diaper and I cried about the same amount of tears.Ā
  2. Step, Step, Step. Just learning how to walk soon turned into a high speed chase around our apartment. Two Tā€™s when it comes to two years of age described me wellā€¦ ā€œterrific toddlerā€. What else did you think I was going to say..?
  3. Ballet Lessons!.. quickly faded into ā€œOo Iā€™m just going to watch the swimming class next door.ā€ Little ballet videos of my mom whispering quite loudly, ā€œWhy arenā€™t you participating Marissa??ā€. In conclusion, I only took 4 ballet classes.Ā
  4. Swimming Lessons! Hobbies change OK. Other than change of interests, I started Kindergarten, which was great because being social and talkative is great to learn when young. Being social can either stay with you or leave you. Luckily for me, it stayed. Now letā€™s talk about the talkative part. It rapidly grew over the years.Ā
  5. This is the age I started Girl Scouts. Daisy for Troop #5478. We consisted of a group of 5 little girls. Me, Natalia, Sienna, Abby, and Rylee. We were as close as sardines in a can. We were really good friends. Weā€™ve all kind of gone separate ways, but Iā€™m sure each one of us will remember those fun memories as Daisies and Brownies.
  6. ā€œAutobots Roll Out!ā€ Is that last thing I heard before I was rapidly swung around, as my tooth was yanked out by the person I thought I called my motherā€¦ Is what I imagined at the time. In reality though, I was watching one of the Transformers movies and my mom tapped my shoulder, I turned around, and she lightly touched my tooth and it fell out. It was hanging on a thread.Ā
  7. White belt, Yellow belt, Orange belt, Green belt, anddd.. Thatā€™s it. Yeah so, I only took Taekwondo for about 2 or 3 years because the prices were starting to rise. It was a fun experience though.Ā
  8. This age is where I found my favorite sport of all time. Drum roll pleaseā€¦ā€¦ soccer!! By this time I had quit all the other physical activities and started in soccer. I played on my first team for the sterling league. I found soccer fun and a great way to get myself moving. I have been playing soccer ever since this age and I hope to continue playing this sport for a long time.Ā
  9. Ā My beautiful little sister, Nicole, came into this world to cure my constant boredom. She is so energetic and she copies everything I do. People say we look exactly alike. Although we might, our personalities are not exactly the same. I am a lot more of a social butterfly while Nicole is more like a quiet caterpillar. Nicole still has a lot of life left in front of her though so she will probably have some changes to her ā€œstyleā€.Ā
  10. Wooo. I have started the 6th grade. It was good. I donā€™t really have that many memories about my first day of school. All I know is that I had really amazing teachers that started off middle school for me really great. I canā€™t believe Iā€™m in 8th grade now. It literally felt like 6th grade yesterday. Iā€™m in tears. šŸ™
  11. This is the age where my youngest cousin was born. His name is William and he is the cutest. I definitely love spending time with him. I hope that Iā€™m his favorite cousin. I hope he has a long and lovely life. He is full of energy so I hope that he uses that to his advantage.Ā
  12. Turning 12, the last year of my tween years, is when I finished my first flip book, I named it, ā€œThe Story of a Treeā€. I was really satisfied with the final result. I was so happy to finish that flip book and I just posted it so make sure to check it out.Ā
  13. This is how old I am now! I am 13 years old and I am excited to have many more years to come with my life. Whether that be in school or out.

Thank you to everyone who checked out my blog! I hope you had as much fun reading my ā€œAll About Meā€ post as I did making it. Iā€™m sure it is only right for me to get to know my readers so in the comment box below I encourage you to answer the question, what year of your life was the most memorable to you? Or you can just comment about whatever you feel like sharing, and if you do comment make sure to leave your blog URL in your comment so I can check out your blog too.

I hope you have a wonderful day, afternoon, or night. Byee!

  1. Hi Marissa-

It sounds like you have such a special relationship with the little people in your life…your little sister Nicole and your cousin William. If you have a gift with young people, maybe you’ll be a teacher or a pediatrician…perhaps a school counselor or and speech therapist!
One thing your list shows is how rapidly life progresses, especially when you’re still a kid. You have so many big moments in your life already. I can’t wait to read more of your blogs…and see all the changes you’ll experience between this year and next year!
