The woods were dark and foggy, and it was hard to see my target, but I continued to run.

A loud bark echoed from behind me. I had no doubt the beast was gaining, tracking my scent, closing in for the kill.

Ducking behind the nearest tree, I stood in wait as footsteps echoed closer. The beast was maybe five seconds away from me.
I leapt out, thrusting my silver dagger into its chest. Everything was silent for a minute. And then the werewolf fell to the ground as it let out a pitiful howl. I had slain the beast.

This was my 100 Word Challenge for this week! I read the prompt and automatically thought about Supernatural, a show I’m watching right now. It’s about ghosts, demons, and all sorts of creatures, including werewolfs. So I decided to write a short story about them. I hope you enjoyed! – Grace 🙂
