100 Word Challenge 2/5
I slump down on the curb, feeling forsaken. “What’s wrong?” Leah asks, sitting down next to me.
I glance over at my friend. “I don’t think the board liked my idea.”
“Neglected, huh. Remember when I had the idea for the portable vacuum? When it just wouldn’t take off, and I got fired?”
“You’re not helping,” I mumble into my hands.
“Oh, shush.” Leah slides her arm around my shoulder comfortingly. “You’ll find another investor. It’s a great product, I mean, who doesn’t need a flashlight-knife? Just keep your head up, and keep trying.”
This was my post for the 100WC. When I first heard the phrase “when it just wouldn’t take off,” I immediately thought of a product investment, and it went from there. Thanks for reading! Leave a comment and your URL below. 🙂
