The Hummingbird by Nalinsouda Thongdygnarath

Once upon a shiny day, I sit on a tiny hay

With the purpose to sunbathe, but I got a not so fun-scathe

I felt the rays, with a floral spray

When I saw all the greenery, I thought what a beautiful scenery!

 Suddenly, I heard a tew-tew-tew

The hay feels sharp, but Im hearing a harp

Now suddenly the sky turns dark, and its yelling a bark

The air is humid and now I feel stupid

Because im outside feeling sticky and I want to go inside quickly

I hear a THUM THUM THUM

At great haste, I see a dark figure at face

It sits on a tree branch, which has me in a trance

Immediately I feel a shiver going up my spine, I quickly think its a sign

I must get out of this nightmare because I would love to be anywhere

At this moment, I feel a WHOOSHH

It whips around me and I scream “LEAVE ME BE”

My arms flare around, but it got me on the ground

My eyes are closed and in an instant, my body dozed

I open with light in my eyes, while facing the now blue-ish skies

I feel the wind messing with my hair

I get up and start to cry

I see my cousin run up to me and ask me “why?”

I say “A dark figure attacked me and I just blacked out!”

She says “What dark figure?”

I say, “I don’t know, it was like a trigger”

I look at the tree branch

Where the figure was once placed, but my mouth is displaced

I see a little bird that sounds like a harp and my cousin looks at me sharp “THAT’S WHAT ATTACKED YOU?” she yells.

She lays back and starts to laugh

My face red and I want to fled

The not so dark figure doesn’t look so disfigured.
