What is a verified credit?

A verified credit means that a student has passed a course and demonstrated mastery of the content through an assessment (Usually the SOL test for the course).

How can I find out how many verified credits my student has?

Students can look in StudentVue to track graduation requirements.

Which courses have an associated SOL test?

Math: Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2

Science: Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry

Reading and Writing: 11th grade English courses

Social Science: World History 1*, World History 2*, USVA History*

*For Social Science, students contribute to a portfolio throughout the year.  This portfolio is assessed to determine mastery and students earn their Verified Credit without taking the SOL test.
