Apple vs. Android

Most the debate of our generation has been about wether Apple or Android is a better choice. Seeing memes on the internet are very funny about how apple and android users are always arguing. I personally Think that both can be good for whoever gets them because maybe if you’re an older person you’d prefer having an android because some of them are less advanced then updated versions, but maybe if you’re a younger person you prefer and Iphone, now apple is definitely out of their mind with prices and I don’t think that a piece of metal and glass should be over 300, but on the other hand i’m not buying it my mom is so i don’t really have to look at the bill. Even though I have an Iphone I do think they’re overrated, because it’s just a phone. I also think that they’re too fragile for how expensive they are, obviously you should get a case when you get a phone but even then Iphones crack so they should fix that in my opinion. Now, I don’t know much about androids, but I do know some of them are way more cheap and way more durable than Apple products. That’s all I really have to say

2018 was terrible

So this is more of a ranting blog. But anyway 2018 was a trash year mostly because of really bad trends like tik tok, tide pods, wavy eyebrows, overalls, yeezys, dock marten boots, different color head clips, etc. I really didnt like the year because dumb YouTube channels I mean, they literally try to get clout about anything. Also the music was not that good. I think that my personal year was trash because of a lot of things, problems, and people, but hopefully 2k19 will be better 🙂

Baking

I love baking a lot it’s a fun way to learn about different cultures when you look in baking books. My favorite thing to make from scratch is brownies or red velvet cake. I am really good in the kitchen it’s like the only thing i’m good at. Usually when people think about baking they’re like eww I don’t want to bake that requires measuring which is math, but it’s only a small part of it and baking is a really fun thing yo do with no cellular devices or tablets. Baking is also cool because you can experiment on things and try to make new things out of an original dessert. Sometimes I enjoy being able to look at recipes that were passed down in the family, and try to recreate it with my mom or grandma. I’m not really that much of a sweet person so when I bake i’m usually baking it for other people. When I do eat desserts my all time favorite is macaroons. I love them so much all the different types of them are so pretty and also they’re from France I guess that’s also why love them. So yea, that’s all i have to say about baking.

My Quick Disney trip

I love Disney World so much no matter how many times you decide to go it’s fun every time. I go every year and it still hasn’t gotten old. So this year I went for a very short amount of time to be in the Christmas Parade and Perform on the Beauty and the Beast stage. It was really fun and our rehearsals were great. We had a great time traveling to different parks and eating a bunch of food. We got to go back stage and the secret routes under and behind disney which most people never see unless they work there so it was really fun to experience that for the third time.

Cancun, Mexico

I love traveling and getting away from reality. My first trip to mexico was very fun, It was just me and my mom. We had just moved to a new house and it was very stressful for my mom because the roof was being replaced as well as the bathrooms being refurbished, so she said do you want to go to mexico and I was like yes, and then we packed up and left the next morning. Now, trying to get there was a different story. We left our house at like 6am because the flight was at 8am. We had to drive to the airport because nobody could take us. We had trouble finding a parking spot, which we arrived at the airport at 6:20ish and then it took us 30 minutes to find a parking spot. So after that tragedy happened, there was a shuttle that took us from the parking lot location to the Actual airport and at this point it is 6:50am so the crappy shuttle service took us a good 45 minutes to get us to the airport and I don’t know if you’re familiar with dulles airport but, let me tell you they are in proximity of 5 minutes of each other so it shouldn’t of taken that long. At this point it’s 7:35am and mind you the flight is at 8 international, kind of expensive. We finally get there and we try to check in at the airline desk and the and catches an attitude saying i’m sorry there is no way you’re making it on that flight. She continues on saying stuff like that while her coworkers are just listening and finally I go off saying you’re telling me that we can’t make it on the flight yet we could try, but you’re just wasting more time. Then her coworker comes over and says you guys can make it on the flight and i’m just standing there like so what are we still standing here for. So eventually they take too long and there was a flight at 8:50am so they just let us get on that one. After all of that mishap, We arrived in Mexico and we are trying to get through the place where they check your passport and then I couldn’t find my passport and long story short it was in my pocket. so as soon as we are making our way to our resort, we get there and the people ask for our ID and passport which I’m a minor so I didn’t show my ID and when I tried to hand them my passport I couldn’t find it again. I was very worried that I left It at the airport. Which once again I found it in my pocket, So moving a day forward my mom and I went out to eat, we went to a seafood restaurant and my mom had this octopus pate or something and my mom got really sick she was throwing up and she couldn’t walk which was terrible. So basically I was all by myself trying to help my mom get better and she finally got better like 2 nights later which was a quarter of the trip, but the rest of the trip went well and nothing else happened that was bad, well I mean Spending 80,000 pesos(which is only $3909) at Louis Vuitton was a bad idea but kinda worth it and we went on a shopping spree at one of the malls near our resort and it was really fun. We went snorkeling and we saw a bunch of animals and corals and I drove the boat to the snorkeling site, which was my first time doing that. We got home safely and all and all it was a really good trip, although I almost missed my flight home trying to get a Cancun shirt and magnets.

Garden fresh vs. Store bought

Garden fresh

My garden is a small garden on the side of my house. It consists of strawberries, blueberries, cucumbers,watermelon, bell peppers, basil, mint, cherry tomatoes,and okra. I tend to my garden every day and I harvest whenever needed. Garden fresh is definitely better in my opinion because you don’t have to worry about hormones and chemicals used to grow produce. it also just taste better from your own soil. It is less money just to grow it yourself because the plant keeps reproducing so you won’t have to constantly go to the grocery store to buy produce that is over priced items. Throughout the year your garden can vary with different plants based on season.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My First Dance Competition

My first Dance competition was an interesting event. The competition was in Woodbridge,VA. Dance competitions start at 7:00am or 7:30am so typically depending on where the competition is, I wake up at 4:30am. So Woodbridge is Typically an Hour away with traffic an hour and 30 minutes away from where I live so I have to get up at 4:30am. I do my hair for competition the night before so I don’t have to do much in the morning. In the morning I wake up brush my teeth wash my face, and make-up. Now make-up I absolutely hate, I hate the process the fake eyelashes, the lipstick , the eye liner the mascara and especially the glitter. So my first competition I had dances on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday, I had to pack my costumes for the day in my duffle bag along with makeup and extra fishnets and both jazz shoes (black & tan). After i finished my packing I went down stairs grabbed some water bottles and threw my bags in the car.Typically on the whole car ride to go to competitions I sleep the whole way to competition. When we arrived I got out and went into the high school where the competition was located and went inside my studio dressing room and got ready for my first dance and then I stretched out and waited until it was my turn to go on stage. The feeling on stage competing was quite scary because you have three judges in front of you and it is a bit nerve racking. After I finished all my dances I went to awards and I don’t exactly remember how we placed but it went really well. All in all my first competition was a great experience and i had lots of fun.
