Today everyone at my school is commemorating the death of seventeen students and staff during the parkland shooting. In dentime today we commemorated the students by making videos sharing five acts of kindness, a few students walked out, some made tee shirts, and I made posters. Walking out is when you go outside and pray for every student and staff for seventeen minutes I didn’t do it because I knew there would be a cosequence but I understand why people would want to protest. I can see both sides. I was against gun violence, and how its not ok and I agree but why not put posters around the school and get rewarded instead of walking out and getting detention. If any of the friends or family of one of those seventeen people is reading this I pray for you and hope you know that he/she is in a better place.
