This article outlines the outcomes of this COVID-19 that has fast-forwarded utilization of technology in mental health care. Additionally, technology is crucial in scaling up access to mental health services during and after COVID-19 (38). The isolation from social interaction during this COVID-19 had prompted a destructive impact on emotional well-being of numerous individuals. Essentially, this emergency has disturbed the mental health of people. Admittedly, technology has assumed a significant function in individuals’ life to defeat the circumstance of anxiety and depression. For instance “telehealth” is an online health framework which is provided to reduce anxiety and disquiet of individuals by encouraging people with therapy sessions and providing medications at doorstep. Similarly, smartphone applications, text messaging and social media apps had demonstrated to assist individuals with battling this mental illness.
This article will assist me with investigating my question as a result of the detailed explanation of my topic. These clarifications will assist me with understanding how technology aided individuals to cope with their mental illness in these global crises. For instance, it makes reference to the utilization of certain technological tools such as smartphone applications, text messaging and social media apps to help individuals in interacting with their families, clients, friends, peers and customers. This will eventually benefit their mental illness. To conclude, the information of how technology benefited certain individuals battling with psychological sickness will assist me with examining how this may make adjustments in assisting individuals in such crises in the future.
