The city that never sleeps, its unlike any other city in the world. New York City is personally my favorite place to visit. It’s convenient because you can hop on a train and be there in a couple of hours from Washington D.C.. I’ve been in both the summer and winter. I especially love to visit during the winter because they gorgeously decorate the vibrant city with holiday lights and decorations and fun holiday themed displays inside the department store windows. In the winter, I love ice skating and seeing Rockefeller Center and the Christmas tree. I’ve seen The Radio City Rockette’s perform their Holiday Spectacular and I have seen several plays while in New York. I love going to Times Square because it’s an unforgettable experience with its vibrant lights and tall buildings and tons of shopping. In the summer, I’ve visited Central Park and the Zoo. Also, during the summer months it’s the best time to take a short ferry ride along the skyline over to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. For some history and education the Metropolitan Museum of Art has so much to see, you need two days to explore all the different exhibits. If you are looking for a fast paced, high energy, breathtaking experience, I highly suggest visiting New York City.
