Pink Out!

Over 150 ACL students and staff participated in the school’s third annual school-wide pink out event on October 22nd and 23rd in an effort to raise awareness and financial donations for Loudoun Breast Health Network (LBHN). LBHN is a nonprofit organization that provides support, resources and comfort to breast cancer patients and their families in Loudoun County. LBHN representative Pam Smith was present for both days’ events.
Close to $1,000 was raised through the sale of pink shirts and pink packs, as well as generous donations. Students and staff were encouraged to wear pink on the school-wide pink out days and meet outside the school on the lawn to show their support for families in Loudoun who face the daily challenges associated with being diagnosed with breast cancer. Entrepreneurship 2 students designed and sold pink shirts and packs through the school store. Entrepreneurship 1 students were instrumental in setting the store through visual merchandising of the pink products.
