Nationals SkillsUSA competition in July in Atlanta

Academiesof Loudoun, Graphic Communications sent eight students and one advisor to the annual SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference, held June 24-28, 2024, in Atlanta, Georgia. The conference was held at the Georgia World Conference Center withover 31 football fields of competition and have 125 contests from middle school, high school to college postsecondary competitors.
The Academies of Loudoun participated in the following events:
Maryam Barokah, Virginia State President, lead voting delegate
Abigail Hardin, Virginia State Secretary and voting delegate.
Joey Cotsimopoulos, served on the SkillsUSA National Courtesy Corp and earning 60 plus community service hours.
Thomas Mazeika, Ayan Chohan and Amy Tran competed in Career Pathways Showcase – Arts & Communication.
Madeline Rhodes, competed in Graphic Sublimation
Nathan Sallee competed and place 3rd in the nation in Graphic Communications.
Deborah Tripp was the SkillsUSA Virginia Interim State Director.
