I really enjoyed the book Dorothy Must Die. It takes a happy story and turns it into a dark twist. the book was a little slow in the beginning but as the story continued I was completely engrossed with the plot line. I laughed throughout the book. The book taught me that there is no good without bad. Balance is important and throwing off the balance is not good. The characters really did grow on me and to see one go definitely makes me sad. This unit was surprisingly fun I typically hate book club groups but for once I actually enjoyed having a book club group.

We finished the book Dorothy must die and I really enjoyed the book we talked about what are the possibilities of the next book. The Wizard of Oz is one character we are still unsure of because he was extremely mysterious. We talked about our favorite characters. My favorite character was Gert even though she died.

Today we had to have two open ended. Emily question was personally my favorite because we got to talk about our favorite characters. Emily said her favorite character was Amy because of her internal conflict. Lee said her favorite character was Pete because we really don’t know much about him so he could be on anyone’s side. My favorite characters are Indigo and Gurt. I liked Gurt because believed in Amy even thought no one else did. I also liked Indigo because she risked her life to help Amy.
