My book club book was, When My Name Was Keoko by Linda Sue Park. The book was published in 2002, so the book is only 17 years old. There are 192 pages of the story. This book is about how a Korean family has to live through all the hardships of when the Japanese took over Korea. In the book it switches between years and two siblings, Sun-hee and Tae-yul. It shows how far a family will go to help one another. I encourage you to read this book if you like people’s history of what happened to them in a tragedy. I also encourage you to read this book if you like two different points of view on the same thing. I rate this book 4 1/2 stars out of 5 stars.

The book club unit was really fun because I love reading books and then talking about them with people. I don’t really like to write about it though. I really liked book club over all. Reading went well. I made sure I ready everything on time. I would change writing about our discussions. We should all ask our questions to each other to see if they read the book. If they don’t answer correctly then they didn’t read the section. No projects after reading, makes us not want to finish reading the book.
