Second Soda Shop is a Success

Junior Emma Krall sings an emotional cover of "Hey Jude" by The Beatles.

The Tri-M Music Honor Society held the second and last Soda Shop of the 2018-2019 school year on March 22.

The dimly-lit library fell silent as siblings Veronica and Adam Manuel took to the stage first and covered “Party Favor” and “Come Out and Play” by Billie Eilish.

Later in the night, senior Moses Hunsaker drew in the crowd with his single-person duet of “Without You” from the SpongeBob movie.

After a short intermission, sophomores Danny Alfaro and Maddy Raut had the audience laughing with their playful dialogue in “An Awkward Duet,” while senior Josh Lee relived his sixth grade performance at Lunsford’s big night out with “Rolling in the Deep” by Adele.

Using a can of bread crumbs as maracas, senior Gina Nored performed “Pictures on the Wall” by Ira Wolf with her sister, Emily Nored.

All throughout the night, performers received standing ovations for their impressive musical capabilities from friends and family who came to watch the show.
