exploring the world one day at a time

San Francisco, California

Every year my family visits California not only for vacation, but also to see some of my dad’s side of the family. As they are not far from San Francisco, we often find ourselves either around the city hiking or in the city walking streets and trying amazing food.

I’ve always loved visiting this part of California because you can get a wide variety of experiences, whether you want to be immersed in nature or in the city life. One of my favorite hikes has to be Twin Peaks, which has a beautiful view of the Golden Gate Bridge and the water. There is a blocked off road rounding the group of hills allowing a ton of space to sit and enjoy the view, especially nearing the time of sunset.

Since this hike is pretty easy (some may consider it a walk), spending time and catching up with friends or family is an ease. Just don’t forget to bring a jacket as it tends to get windy!
