My picks for NFL Championship Sunday

Hello everyone,

It’s Sreepal back again with another blog post! This week I will be making my picks for the NFC and AFC championship games.

The AFC

Jaguars Vs. Patriots

Jaguars 38 Patriots 35

Even thought the odds are heavily stacked against the Jaguars, I still have to go with them because I’m from the 904(Jacksonville) and would never bet against them. The Patriots will be forced to play perfectly offensively with no turnovers if they want to beat a lockdown Jags defense. I think Blake Bortles will be the deciding factor in this game. If Blake Bortles can lead his team to 28+ points the Jaguars will walk away with a win. Tom Brady’s injury will also play a HUGE factor in the game. He recently jammed his throwing hand during practice after running into a teammate. I think he will definitely play in the game but his throwing capabilities will be limited by the Jaguars defense and his injury.

The NFC

Vikings vs. Eagles

Vikings 31-14

The Eagles have beaten all odds to get to the NFC championship game after losing their star Quarterback Carson Wentz, who was having a breakout year until he tore his ACL. I’m going to have to pick the Vikings in this one because I just don’t think Nick Foles can handle the leagues best rushing defense. He has had a QBR of under 20 while being pressured and the Vikings defense loves to blitz the Quarterback. The Eagles defense will not be enough to stop the dual head rushing attack of Latavius Murray and Jerrick Mckinnon. Case Keenum is a good enough QB to win a super bowl with, he limits mistakes and is a great leader on the field. With Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen receiving the ball I don’t think the Philadelphia Eagles secondary is enough to stop this talented offense.
