A long time ago some trees could talk, and three legged giants roamed the earth. The giants didn’t like the trees but they couldn’t tell the difference between talking trees and normal trees. So the giants made a deal with a spirit that could tell the difference between the trees. The spirit could cast a spell that could turn talking trees into normal trees. There was one giant who was friends with the talking trees. When the spell was casted he lifted five of his friends. Unfortunately this did not help the trees, but instead turned him into a tree.

I loved your story, although I felt so sorry for the poor giant! He did so much to try and help his tree friends and then ended up trapped as a giant tree himself.
You used great description and I could imagine the scene in my own mind. Well done!
