Thai by Thai has lots of choices of delicious foods that you can choose from. I like ordering the Drunken Noodles. My favorite thing to order is the Kana MooKrob, which has pork with Chinese broccoli, a side of rice for 11.95.

The service is also really good. The people there were all very nice and got me whatever I needed. There is also close to no wait time. They take your order right when you’re ready, so you just have to wait for the food, which comes out in about five minutes. The restaurant is next to Coco’s and is very small, but cute and cozy.

Overall I 10/10 recommend eating at Thai by Thai if you want to try something new or like Asian food.

The Block

The Block is a building in Annandale, Virginia. Inside the building, there are multiple vendors that sell different types of food in Asia. One of their vendors is Snocream. Snocream is famous for their bubble tea and ice cream. I got the Passion Fruit Boba Tea and the Matcha Oreo ice cream. The ice cream was delicious.

Garlic Noodles with Shrimp

The Block sells food from places like Vietnam and Thailand. I ordered the Garlic Noodles with shrimp from the Thai vendor there and it was very good and tastes a lot like Lo Mein.

There are usually a lot of people at The Block so it may be hard to find seats, especially if you are going with a large group of people. In addition to that, the wait time is a little long but definitely not the worst, compared to Cracker Barrel or Sweetwater.

Overall, I 9/10 recommend you going to the block because the different types of food that they sell there is definitely worth your time if you are going to a smaller group of people.

 

Cafesano

Cafesano is a beautiful restaurant with affordable food. It allows indoor and outdoor dining. The outside dining area is decorated with beautiful fairy lights. My favorite thing to order is the Chicken Alfredo which is $11.79. It is so delicious. It is Penne pasta with grilled chicken, broccoli and homemade Alfredo sauce. I’ve also tried the Penne with Basil Pesto which is $9.69 and is also one of my favorites.

The wait time is not long at all. Once you enter the restaurant, you choose what you want to order and then you pay at the front. After you pay, the waiter gives you a buzzer. Cafesano is a great restaurant to go to when you’re really hungry. The food comes out about 10 to 15 minutes after you order. Super fast compared to other restaurants like Sweetwater.

Overall, I 10/10 recommend you go to Cafesano for their delicious and affordable food.

Chick-fil-A

Everyone knows what Chick-fil-A is. It is a very affordable fast food restaurant with great food choices, and is most commonly known for their chicken. My favorite thing to get is the eight count nugget meal. The meal consists of the nuggets, fries, and a drink. My favorite thing to get in the morning is the four count Chick-n-Minis meal. The meal consists of the nuggets with bread, hash browns, and a drink.

Overall, Chick-fil-A is a great fast food restaurant with delicious food, and is very budget friendly.

Sweetwater Tavern

Sweetwater is a somewhat fancy restaurant that has delicious food. Since the restaurant is kind of fancy, the prices for the food is a little pricier than the food at IHop, or Zoup. It has a wide variety of foods like salads, sandwiches, seafood, chicken, pasta, beef and ribs, and of course, desserts. My favorite item on the menu is the Short Smoked Salmon Filet, which is $21.00. It comes with marinated and smoked salmon, hickory with broccoli, mashed potatoes with dijon cream on the side. It is so tasty and filling.

Even though the food is marvelous, the wait time can be very long so I highly recommend making a reservation beforehand. If not, you might have to wait at least an hour before you get seated. When you are seated, the server brings out a bowl of Ozzie rolls with butter. The Ozzie rolls are so delicious. If you have a chance to try them, you should, and will want more. Besides the wait and price, Sweetwater Tavern is a great restaurant that serves delicious food!

IHop

IHop is a great restaurant and has delicious food. There is one that is located in Cezar Plaza where Coco’s Food and Music and Arts is. They are famous for their delicious pancakes. They also sell other foods like chicken tenders and french toast. In addition to that, they started to sell burgers. Their food is also very cheap and affordable. For example, the Original Full Stack Buttermilk Pancakes costs only $5.79. There is also a deal for cheaper pancakes when you go to eat there early in the morning. My favorite thing to order on the menu is the 2 x 2 x 2 which includes two pancakes, eggs, and bacon or sausage for only $6.59. My cousin’s favorite item to order is the Original French Toast which is $6.59. (The french toast is pictured on the left).

The wait time however differs. But, this is common for all restaurants, and at IHop, it isn’t that bad. Overall, I 10/10 recommend going to IHop for it’s tasty and budget friendly food!!

Zoup

Zoup is a restaurant that has delicious sandwiches, salads, and and soups. The man that owns the Zoup restaurant in Cascades Overlook and his staff are very kind. The food is made right when you order, and takes at most ten minutes to make. My favorite sandwich is the Zesty Chicken Bacon sandwich. This sandwich contains provolone, marinated onions, sun-dried tomato mayo, and pesto. It is also served toasted on stone-baked ciabatta. My favorite soup is the Chicken Pot Pie which is a creamy chicken soup with mixed vegetables and garnished with crumbled pie crust. Overall, Zoup is a great restaurant with amazing food and I highly recommend you try their sandwiches and soups. 

Cracker Barrel

Cracker Barrel is a restaurant that has a southern vibe and serves breakfast lunch and dinner.  The food is very tasty and the servers are very kind. My favorite breakfast item on the menu is the “Momma’s Pancake Breakfast”, which comes with three buttermilk pancakes, two eggs, and bacon or sausage for $8.59.

Even though the food and service is delicious, the wait is very long. When I went on Sunday morning, the lady told me that I would only have to wait twenty to thirty minutes. I ended up having to wait an hour and fifteen minutes to be seated. After I was seated, I had to wait for an additional thirty minutes before I got my food. Overall, the food is delicious, but the wait time is very long.

Food, food and more food!!

Have you ever been to a restaurant and had to wait over half an hour for horrible service and food? Have you ever paid a lot of money for a meal that you could’ve easily made at home? Well, that’s what my blog is for!  I will be making different types of foods at home and uploading them here! Recipes for delicious foods and drinks will also be posted. Cooking and baking are fun activities to do! In addition to that, I haven’t been to many restaurants, but I will review the ones that I have been to and give suggestions on the food at that restaurant. From now on, you don’t have to spend your time waiting to be seated at a horrible restaurant and can make the foods that you are craving at home!

I’ve tried a variety of foods like Mexican, Thai, Italian, Indian, Korean, and much more! I’ve been to commonly known restaurants like Olive Garden and less common restaurants like Thai by Thai.  I am very excited to continue to try foods from places around the world. I am also excited to be sharing them with you! So follow my blog for more food reviews and recipes!
