Marumen

Yesterday for dinner, my cousins and I went out to eat at a new ramen restaurant in Cascades Overlook. The restaurant is located in a very pretty setting. Once you step out of the restaurant, there are many places that you could go to for dessert. There is also a fire pit that you could sit by. The setting is very cute and decorative.

The waiters and waitresses are very kind and there is no wait time.  We were given free seasoned peas and they were delicious!

Every ramen item on the menu is twelve dollars. However, it comes with a lot of ramen. I was very full when I finished my meal.

Braised Chicken Ramen

I ordered the Braised Chicken ramen which was good, but the chicken wasn’t my favorite. I would prefer the Vegetarian ramen.

Overall, I 10/10 recommend going to Manuramen for some delicious food that will keep you full!

My Favorite Restaurants

My favorite restaurants so far are Thai by Thai and Sweet-water. These two restaurants are very different with a big difference in price.

Thai by Thai offers delicious Asian food at very affordable prices. It is not formal at all, and the service is great, will a little to no wait time.

On the other hand, Sweet-water is a more fancy restaurant that offers delicious food. Because of this, the prices are a little more expensive, and I would recommend making a reservation before hand if you won’t want to wait for over half an hour before being seated.

Overall, both restaurants serve delicious food. Although the prices of the food at Sweet-water are a little expensive, it is definitely worth it.

Tea Break

Tea Break is a Vietnamese restaurant in Sterling, VA. There is a wide variety of items to order on the menu. They vary from pho, to rice, to spring rolls. When I went, I got Pho for a pretty cheap price and it was delicious. I also got the spring rolls which were also very tasty.

The waiters were also very kind and helpful. The wait time was also not long… at all.

Overall, I 10/10 recommend going to Tea Break for lunch or dinner if you don’t want to pay a lot of money, but also want to eat delicious food.

Siam Spice

Last weekend, I went to Siam’s Spice with my cousins. The food was delicious!!! (We went to the one in Sterling).

For the appetizers, we got calamari and fried shrimp. For the main dishes, we shared fried rice, drunken noodles, and Thai curry. My favorite was the dish with the drunken noodles.

For drinks, we ordered the Thai Iced Tea, Taro Milk Tea, and Mango Milk Tea. I recommend the Thai Iced Tea or the Taro Milk Tea. All of them were only three dollars.

Fried Rice

There was no wait time and the food was prepared very quickly. The waiters are also all very kind and welcoming.

Overall, I 10/10 recommend going to Siam Spice for dinner.

Thai by Thai

Thai by Thai has lots of choices of delicious foods that you can choose from. I like ordering the Drunken Noodles. My favorite thing to order is the Kana MooKrob, which has pork with Chinese broccoli, a side of rice for 11.95.

The service is also really good. The people there were all very nice and got me whatever I needed. There is also close to no wait time. They take your order right when you’re ready, so you just have to wait for the food, which comes out in about five minutes. The restaurant is next to Coco’s and is very small, but cute and cozy.

Overall I 10/10 recommend eating at Thai by Thai if you want to try something new or like Asian food.

The Block

The Block is a building in Annandale, Virginia. Inside the building, there are multiple vendors that sell different types of food in Asia. One of their vendors is Snocream. Snocream is famous for their bubble tea and ice cream. I got the Passion Fruit Boba Tea and the Matcha Oreo ice cream. The ice cream was delicious.

Garlic Noodles with Shrimp

The Block sells food from places like Vietnam and Thailand. I ordered the Garlic Noodles with shrimp from the Thai vendor there and it was very good and tastes a lot like Lo Mein.

There are usually a lot of people at The Block so it may be hard to find seats, especially if you are going with a large group of people. In addition to that, the wait time is a little long but definitely not the worst, compared to Cracker Barrel or Sweetwater.

Overall, I 9/10 recommend you going to the block because the different types of food that they sell there is definitely worth your time if you are going to a smaller group of people.
