This book is an inspiring read by teen author, Jack Andraka. It tells the story of how he created a device to detect cancer cheaper and faster than other devices. Jack lost a family member due to pancreatic cancer thus inspiring his desire. This book is not only about a cancer detecting device but it also about Jack’s ability to overcome multiple obstacles in his life such as depression and bully. I highly recommend this book as it shows how you can succeed if you just set your mind to it. However, at times, the scientific terminology used in the book does impact the storyline.
