Hello and welcome back to my blog! Happy early Halloween! Now, if you’ve been paying attention (or if you’re in my classes) you’ll know that me and my family have been preparing for a bird for a few months now. And I’m here to, you guessed it, let you know I’m finally getting the bird! It’s a sun conure named Gary ( if it’s a boy ) or Lelu ( if it’s a girl ). As I’m writing this, the date is Tuesday, the 29th. On Thursday, the 31th, we’re going to Petco to get him! I’m very excited, because ever since 1st grade I’ve wanted a bird, and so has the rest of my family.

    It all started when we bird-sat a cockatiel, during the summer of 1st grade. These are some of my earliest memories. I came home from school to find the bird on my mom’s shoulder and I fell in love. I spent the most time with the bird and I do admit I got attached. But then I came home from school one day find the bird gone. I cried for the rest of the weekend. And ever since then I had vowed that before I died, I would achieve “Bird Owner Status”. 

     And now the day is here when that vow has been fulfilled! When I get him I’ll take a picture and post here for you all to see!
