Mini-Me – SBC Week One

*Drum roll please* For the first time ever, I would like to introduce my mini-me to the world! This is my avatar and if you ask me, it looks pretty identical to me. Creating this avatar was overall such a fun experience! You can learn more about the behind the scenes of constructing not only my mini-me, but also my class’ avatars as well, on my class slideshow. -> https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1BrpmAFxEA_jekhh3dzhPkefqc03Rij_aF6kzOxxkpAM/edit#slide=id.p

In other news, this week is week one of the Student Blogging Challenge! I’m completely ecstatic and am so amazed by what I’m seeing already. I loved this week’s challenge especially because of how it allowed us all to express ourselves, while also allowing us to help describe ourselves a bit better. The one thing that is the same about all of us is that we are all different. Difference is beautiful and I think that it is incredibly important to recognize.

Well folks, that’s all for this week’s post. I hope I didn’t bore you too much haha. Leave a comment down below if you have any of the same features as me! I’m super interested in how much we all not only differ from each other, but how similar we are as well. Like what ya see? Go check out my ‘Alphabet Aerobics’ post: https://blogs.lcps.org/mariamsnotsosecretdiary/2019/09/19/alphabet-aerobics/

While you’re there, you should totally confess your wildest theater freak thoughts on Emma’s blog! – http://blogs.lcps.org/confessionsofatheaterfreak/

  1. Hi Mariam,
Your enthusiasm is contagious! As I read your post, I was getting more excited for the next several weeks of this Blogging Challenge. I especially loved that you included a link, making it very easy to view another one of your posts, and I’m thrilled you chose the Alphabet Aerobics because your readers will learn so many interesting facts about you while seeing firsthand your creativity and talent. Also, you’re one of the first students to include a shout-out to a fellow classmate, so well done!
One final thought: The visuals you’ve attached to each of your posts are so eye-catching. I’d like to know the details behind the one you’ve created above.
    Thanks for sharing,
    Mrs. Sheridan

    1. Hi Mrs. Sheridan,
YOUR enthusiasm is contagious! I can promise you, your good vibes have rub off on me! I, too, am very excited for the SBC. I’m ecstatic just thinking about how much my blog will develop and turn into a true blog. The Alphabet Aerobics post was such a blast to write. It definitely was a solid challenge, but in a good way! I personally, really enjoy free writing, but I also love a good challenge. I feel as if when I’m given a challenge and a specific set of guidelines, I really push past my boundaries and grow as a writer.
Finally, I am so happy that you like my visuals! I have a whole pinterest board dedicated to aesthetically pleasing pictures that I feel like are meaningful to me and my personal interests. Every post, I want to try and create a collage using pictures from the board that I think relate to that week’s challenge. I have always been passionate about both photography and film, and so having these visuals was a given on my end.
Again, I am full of joy just hearing that you like my blog! I can’t wait to see what the year brings! Thank you for your input!

  2. Hello Miriam,

I also love your voice in your writing! I really like the graphic you used for this post. I clicked around your blog to find your avatar, but I came up empty. Something I clicked on asked me to log in but I couldn’t get through it.

I can’t wait to read your future posts; you are doing a wonderful job.

    1. Hi Brittani!
Aww, thank you so much! When I’m writing, I try to write with as much personality as possible. The graphics I chose for this post were all handpicked! I’m so glad you like them! Thank you for telling me that my avatar wasn’t showing up. I will get on that right away.
Again, thank you so much for your kind words! I can’t wait to head over and read your post!
