100 Word Challenge

Today’s 100 word challenge uses 5 words as a prompt.  Oar, Rule, Mushroom, Wistful, Wrinkled.  On top of this challenge, my communications teacher challenged me to write the story like a news report.   Happy Reading!

Today we interviewed a multi millionaire that lives in the most unique way.  Her name is Sally, and she lives in a wrinkled mushroom house.  We asked her why she lived in this house, and she responded instantly.  The woman said, with a wistful look, that this was her grandmother’s.  According to Sally, her grandmother had one rule when she’s gone:  take care of the house.   She let us tour the house, and, to our surprise, every detail was the same as before her grandma passed.  She even has her grandmother’s old oar for kayaking.

  1. Well, I certainly did enjoy your story. I’m glad your teacher set this challenge for you. It was quite a task to incorporate those challenge words into a story. “Wistful” is a word that probably isn’t used greatly but you have used it correctly. Your word choices have been good and appropriate for your genre. So glad you enjoy writing. Keep going and accept those challenges put before you. Well done.

    1. Hi Cath,

Thank you for returning to my blog! It means alot to me when people leave aan encouraging comment. It was definitely hard trying to find a way to incorporate all those words, but I’m glad you think I did well. Also I just realized that you’re my first comment from Australia. So cool!

      Thanks again,
      Keeley Soul
