Should the NBA add new rules?

The NBA has been around since 1946 there have been a lot of changes from the start but, there hasn’t been a lt of changes for a while and i feel the NBA is getting kinda stale.

The NBA is one of the most popular sports in America and the world. It has been around so long that it seems like it has never changed. Everyone knows about the three point line and how Stephen Curry can shoot better than anyone but, did you know that the NBA used to not have the three point line? The addition of the three point line was a great thing that changed up the NBA a lot and added a new way for players to score. Before the three point line almost all of the points would come from layups or dunks.

The NBA should add new rules to change it up I think that they should add a four point line. The four point line would be a great addition to the game and would change how the game is played and only the elite shooters will be able to consistently use it. The four point line would make it so if a team was down by four points with seconds left they can still tie the game and that would make the games much more entertaining because of the possibility of a buzzer beater to tie. The Harlem Globetrotters have the four point line and it works great.

The penalty box is another thing I think would be a good rule to add. If the NBA added this it would probably be the most game changing rule ever. How it would work is if a player gets multiple fouls within a minute or two or a flagrant foul they would be put in the penalty box for a couple minutes. It would entice players not to foul nearly as much because if they do they will be taken out of the game and will hurt the team because it would be a four versus five. I feel it would work in this sport because they have this in hockey and lacrosse.

Let me know what you think about these ideas and thanks for reading.
