Student Blogging Challenge #4

Happy November! I hope everyone is stuffing themselves with Halloween candy and counting the days till Thanksgiving and Christmas! This week for the SBC is free choice which I’m really happy about since I can really write about anything I want to! If you read my All About Me post, you probably saw that I really like to travel and go to new places. This week I am going to give not a Top 5, but a Top 6 list of some travel destinations that I hope to visit someday. I guess 6 is more intriguing than 5, right? Comment down below your favorite place that you have traveled to and if you have been to any of the places that are on my list. (BTW I’m super jealous if you’ve been to any of the destinations on my list.)

1. Bora Bora

I want to travel to Bora Bora because of the beautiful terrain and crystal blue water. My best friend, Mariam, and I always talk about how we want to go after we graduate high school together. Bora Bora looks like a great place to have  a fun and relaxing summer vacation where you can lay in the sun and swim all day!

2. Scotland

I am almost fully Scottish (along with Irish), so I really want to visit the place where my ancestors were originally from! Not to mention, the wonderful and iconic movie Braveheart was filmed in Scotland and I want to trace Mel Gibson’s footsteps;).

3. Greece

I have watched so many travel diaries/vlogs about people going to Santorini, Greece and not going to lie, I’m jealous of them. I know that I’m only in the eighth grade, but I NEED to go to Greece soon because it looks absolutely gorgeous. I also love gyros and pita bread so Greece is the place to be.

4. Australia

Australia is a beautiful place with its unique cities and gorgeous water. My favorite show when I was younger was Mako Mermaids and it was filmed off the Gold Coast of Australia. “Cleor” gets me everytime.  My favorite actor right now is Dacre Montgomery (he plays Billy Hargrove in Stranger Things) and he was born in Perth, Australia!

5.California

I really want to visit California because of the variety of things you can do there. Northern California is totally different from Southern California. I want to visit San Francisco and Los Angeles in particular. In San Francisco, I could see the “Full House” house and Alcatraz. Then in LA I could seek to find my favorite celebrities and actors ;).

6. Hawaii

We all have to admit that there has been at least one time in our lives that we have wanted to travel to Hawaii. Well, at least I have! It’s fascinating to me that there are so many islands that make up Hawaii. Hawaii has been on my travel bucket list for as long as I can remember, and I think it always will be. If you take me to Hawaii, I will love you forever:).

Thank y’all for reading yet another blog post of mine! Not just saying this, it means the world to me. Hope everyone has a good rest of their week! Remember to keep it cool and comment down below.

  1. Hi Anna Claire-

There is something about that off -number list of items, right? I would definitely put Australia at the top of my list, and Hawaii would make it for sure, although I think I’d head to Alaska before Australia. My family visited California two summers ago, and we had a blast. My daughter Cady and I stood in front of the “Full House” steps for a photo. I’ll have to show you some of the photos from our trip; we also hit three national parks. Amazing!

Once again, you included all the elements of a rockstar blog post. The links were fun because I took an instant trip to the place you featured. 🙂

I’ll look forward to your next post…all about music! 🙂

    See you on Friday-

  2. Hello Mrs. Rombach!
Yes, off number lists are something else! I was also going to put Colorado on my list because of the Grand Canyon. My family and I are thinking about going to Colorado during spring break next year! That’s really cool how you and your daughter took a picture in front of the “Full House” steps! Thanks for commenting and looking at my blog. Can’t wait for next week’s post, I’m really excited about it!

  3. Hi Claire! My name is Ava and I am a sophomore in high school. I loved your list and my top place to travel is Australia. I agree that is is a very beautiful place and that the waters are very pretty too. Where in Australia would you want to travel to? I also noticed that in your reply comment that you mentioned wanting to go to Colorado. I went there a few summers ago and it was a lot of fun! Check out my blog if you want to read about it.
    Sincerely,
    Ava

  4. Anna Claire-

I’m skipping around blogs this morning to see who’s posted what, and I was rereading your Student Blogging Challenge Week 4 today. I had clicked on the links to the locations previously, but I somehow missed the Thanksgiving and Christmas countdowns. How fun are these! This reminds me, too, that we can add countdowns to our sidebars. Let’s talk about doing that before winter break. Perhaps we add one for the last day of school, Spring Break, etc. I’d leave it up to each of you. In addition, let’s adopt pets. Remind me to share this with everyone!

I hope you’re enjoying your Thanksgiving break in South Carolina! Miss ya!
