Over winter break I went to Texas with my family. We visited Austin, The Johnson Space Center in Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas. My favorite city was Austin because the area around it was very pretty and the city was small but clean. We spent two days in Austin. On the first day, after going to this state park called McKinney Falls, we decided to go into the city and find lunch. We ended up going to this taco stand that was right next to a nightclub. Since it was the middle of the day, were the only people in the nightclub, and the people from the taco truck served us at our table inside the nightclub. The tacos were really, really good. Chipotle does not compare. I had two tacos. One of the tacos was just beans and a bunch of roasted vegetables, including carrots, mushrooms, corn, and zucchini, and avocado but the vegetables were fresh and really well done. The other taco had cheese, mushrooms, and spinach and jalapenos. It was amazing, definitely the best taco I’ve had before. The cheese was all melty in the taco, and it was really spicy. Everything in the taco went very well together. I think the place was called Pueblo Viejo, so if you are ever in the area, I would definitely recommend it!

On our second day in the city, we second day in the city, we took a tour of the capital, which was pretty interesting because I learned a lot of things about Texan and American history that I hadn’t known. We also visited the famous bridge where all the bats fly out of at sunset, but since it was winter, there weren’t as many bats. On top of that it was super cold, and I hadn’t brought warm clothes since I hadn’t expected that weather in Texas. However, it was still fun walking around and the lighting on the buildings was really pretty.
