Over the past week, the NFL has been blowing up about the “Trade Tsunami” that has hit the NFL. Here are the rankings of the Top 5 signings/trades in the past week:
5. Andrew Norwell, OG, Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jags upgraded their defense massively in 2017. Now, they pair former Carolina Panthers star Andrew Norwell to help support the run game with Leonard Fournette & protect Blake Bortles, who recently signed a 3 year deal with the Jags.
4. Kirk Cousins, QB, Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings are 4th on the list for one reason in particular: Too much money spent on Kirk. Cousins is an excellent quarterback who has the ability to be a franchise quarterback. Although the Vikings HAD to toss a boatload of money to him, I don’t see a future when they have limited cap space for next year.
3. Jimmy Graham, TE, Sheldon Richardson, DT, Green Bay Packers
The Packers made big moves after releasing Jordy Nelson to sign All-Pro Tight End Jimmy Graham. Graham is a big, athletic tight end who is a reliable red zone target when healthy. Richardson came off one of his worst seasons as a Jet. Now, he’s paired up with Mike Daniels as an upgrade to the Packers’ D.
2. Allen Robinson, WR, Taylor Gabriel, WR, Trey Burton, TE, Chicago Bears
The Bears made a huge improvement on their offense to gather Mitchell Trubisky some weapons. They finally have a true No. 1 wideout in Allen Robinson, a speedy streaky receiver in Taylor Gabirel, and the “Philly Special” passer in Trey Burton. All 3 will fit perfectly in new head coach Matt Nagy’s offense.
1. Jarvis Landry, WR, Tyrod Taylor, QB, Damarious Randall DB, Cleveland Browns
The Browns are making moves. New General Manager John Dorsey recently upgraded the offense with Tyrod Taylor & Jarvis Landry. Holding the #1 & #4 Draft Pick in the coming draft, the Browns will most likely use Tyrod Taylor as a bridge quarterback to a possible rookie quarterback. Cleveland can’t go 0-16 with these upgrades.
