NFL Week 14 Recap

Here are the top 3 things we learned from Week 14 in the NFL

1. Two teams have clinched their division

Excluding Monday Night’s result, the Eagles (11-2) and Steelers (11-2) have both won their division and made a spot in the playoffs. While the Steelers are looking for their 7th Super Bowl ring, the Eagles are looking for their first.

2. Four additional teams have been excluded from the 2017 NFL Playoffs.

The Washington Redskins lost 13-30 in Los Angeles against the Chargers and the Bengals suffered a 7-33 loss to the Bears in Cincinnati. The Broncos, Buccaneers, and Colts have also been knocked out of the hunt. Sources have been leading to the idea of Colts coach Chuck Pagano having his last season as a coach.

3. Carson Wentz’s (Not So) Perfect Season

The second pick in the 2016 season had his struggles in 2016, leading his team to 7-9, bottom of the NFC East. However, he picked up his pace this year and lead his team to 11-2, clinching the playoffs. Unfortunately for Wentz & the Eagles, he tore his ACL, leading him to miss the rest of the 2017 campaign. The MVP candidate will look to bounce back in 2018. The question remains: How will the Eagles fare in the Playoffs with Nick Foles as quarterback?
