Anvengers: Endgame (No spoilers included!)

This past Wednesday I saw Avengers:Endgame in the theaters with my friend Ella. She is a huge marvel fan and had seen all the movies up to this point, unlike me. I am not a huge marvel fan and haven’t seen all the movies, but wanted to see what all the hype was about. All over social media I would see “DON’T SPOIL ENDGAME” I was really curious to see what is was all about. The movie is rated PG-13 and is three hours long! Three hours was a bit too long in my opinion. The plot of the overall movie is about the last Avengers movie where all the superheroes turn into dust into an alternate universe. This movie is all about turning back the time to get everyone back. Ant Man, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Captain America, Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, Nebula, and Rocket Raccoon have to do this by getting all the gems back from Thanos. They do this by creating a time travel bracelet and go back in time to where the gems are. They all split into teams and go on these crazy journeys to get them. The rest of the movie contains the major spoilers, so I will keep it a mystery. If you are a huge marvel this is a must see because it is the end of an era. If you are like me and just wanted to see what all the hype was about I don’t really recommend it. I was very confused at some parts because of my lack of marvel knowledge. Overall the movie was good, and would’ve been a lot better if I had seen all the marvel movies. I would rate this movie a 7/10.

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again

Mamma Mia is a classic movie that everyone knows and loves. I saw this movie over the summer in the theaters and loved it. I had seen the original and loved it, but the more modernized version is much better in my opinion. I do recommend watching the first one before you watch this one because it will help you understand more of the movie. This movie has a soundtrack that will make you want to get up and dance right in the theater. It’s a very interesting look into Donna’s life before her daughter. You see Donna graduate college and she decides to go adventure in Europe. She meets Bill, Harry, and Sam along the way on her adventures. The movie also goes back into the present where Donna’s daughter Sophie is revonating a taverna in Greece, this was Donna’s dream. Donna has past away in the present times, so Sophie is living out her dreams. This movie is great for a family movie night, and is just a really uplifting and fun movie. I would rate this a 8.5/10.

Fyre

The movie Fyre is a netflix original and is a documentary about the fyre festival. It revolves around the brains behind the disaster, Billy Mcfarland. He had this great idea to have a music festival on a private island in the Bahamas, and have many famous models promote it to attract customers. The tickets itself were very expensive for the festival, but they also had packages to purchase online. That supposedly included lavish bungalows, great food, and drinks. There was not nearly enough time or money for this to get done. So, Billy just kept taking people’s money even though none of it was ever going to look the way it was described and pictured online. The “lavish bungalows” were actually hurricane matthew tents that people used when their homes were destroyed. People showed up to the festival in udder shock, they couldn’t believe this is what they spent thousands of dollars on. Billy was arrested for fraud and four other charges. This was truly the greatest party that never happened. This documentary was very interesting and I highly recommend to anyone who likes documentaries. I rate this a 8/10.

The Gift

Over Thanksgiving break I watched “The Gift”. This movie is a movie/thriller and is rated R. This movie is definitely worth a watch. It is about a husband and wife who recently moved to a very nice mansion that is all glass. Simon, the husband, sees a man from his past who seemed kind of off. Rebecca, the wife, felt bad for him and invited him to dinner. Simon seemed annoyed throughout the dinner and did not like him. Gordon, the weird man, kept dropping by at weird times and acting strangely. He would only drop by when Simon wasn’t home and Rebecca was all alone. He drops off “gifts”. The whole movie is very suspenseful and keeps you on the edge of your seat. The ending has a big unexpected plot twist. I rate this movie 8/10.
