Let’s Talk Corona

Hi, and welcome back to a sane post.

I haven’t done the blogging challenges in a while, so I decided that I should probably do this one. (That’s a lie. My teacher actually just assigned us this post.) So, anyways, I’m just going to get right in!

Schools around the globe have always been, well, different. A few years back, I actually attended an international school over in Bangkok, Thailand. We were on the schedule known as “year-round school.” As horrible as that sounds, it’s actually a lot better, in my opinion. Summers would be shorter, yeah, but we would have a ton more short breaks sprinkled throughout the year. We also had a ton more freedom, but that might’ve just been because we all attended a fancy private school in a gated community.

However, I think this coronavirus thing really united how schools act around the world. Before quarantine actually happened, I remember joking around with friends and hoping school got shut down because we didn’t want to go to school. Now that it’s actually happened, I bet a lot of people wish they cherished school more. Don’t get me wrong, I’m perfectly happy being locked inside my house, but some people aren’t.

Now that schools around the world are all shut down, we’re all being forced to teach the exact same way: online. People who have never had anything in common before are now striking up friendships just by talking about their classmates and things they do during quarantine.

I don’t have much else to talk about, so that’ll be all! Stay safe!

impulses :)

Yo, what’s up? Today, I’m going to talk about…

*𝓲𝓶𝓹𝓾𝓵𝓼𝓮𝓼*

I know, weird topic. However, I am the queen of impulses, so therefore, I’m going to write about them.

Since this post is about my impulses, I will be writing it including all of my impulses and random thoughts (including paragraph skips). 🙂 This post probably won’t be very grammatically correct. Sorry 🙁

So, recently I’ve had the impulse to start crochet.

I’ve never done anything like it before, but just last night I mentioned it and my mom said she’d order the materials. I don’t have much else on the crochet topic.

We’ll also be covering my hair impulses. I get these a lot. Like, a lot a lot. Back in the summer, I was really tempted to get bangs. That phase happened when I wasn’t even allowed to cut my hair. I’m actually really glad I wasn’t allowed to because, wow, I would not look good with bangs.

My most recent hair impulse is still going on. I swear, as soon as I get out of quarantine, I will be cutting my hair and dyeing the front two strips of my hair. Don’t be surprised if I just dye my entire head blue; it’s not out of consideration.

Honestly? Even this post idea was on impulse. I had no idea about what I was actually going to write once I started.

Anyways, that’s all I have today. Leave a comment if you wish; maybe a link to your blog.

quarantine routine !!

Hi y’all. As we been knew, the coronavirus has taken over the world. Virginia has officially shut down schools for the rest of the year. You know what that means? I had to establish my own little routine.

  • Wow, list time! Such a fancy way to organize things.

  1. Wake up. I know, such a hard step. Although I don’t like to admit it, I’ve only woken up before noon three times this quarantine. My typical wake up time is around 1am. I know, I have a problem.
  2. Bathroom tings. My personal morning (afternoon) bathroom routine always starts with the hygienic cleansing of the bones inside of the mouth. Putting this simply – brushing my teeth. After that I do my little skin-care routine (I’m not gonna go in depth on that). Boom! I’m done with the bathroom.
  3. Getting dressed. This step has been skipped everyday. Everyday is pajama day.
  4. Catch up. Waking up at noon has its own little perks (such as extra sleep), but it also comes with a lot of drawbacks. It requires me to catch up on everything that happened overnight and throughout the morning. Pretty much I just check all of my notifications.
  5. School (ew). This was only added this week, unfortunately. Since my mom’s a teacher, she’s been adamant that I complete things for school. I don’t enjoy it at all, especially since only a few of my teachers have actually posted things related to our actual class. The second my teachers actually start assigning online work, and not just optional hyperlinks, I’m sure I’ll have a much better time.
  6. Vibe.
  7. Movie time! So far, my family has watched some sort of movie literally every night. My family has become very addicted to Marvel movies. We’ve started a marathon and we’re trying to watch every movie in chronological order. Before our marathon started, my sister and I would watch a Disney movie every night too.
  8. Bathroom tings pt. 2. I’ve decided to skip meals for the sake of writing this post. In Bathroom Tings Pt. 2, we get to experience me doing the exact same steps as before. Except, surprise! We switch the order!! Instead of brushing my teeth first, I wash my face first. Gotta love skin-care, amirite?
  9. Sleepy time. Alas, back to sleep. Once again, I start my slumber until the next afternoon.

I’ve done pretty much nothing this entire quarantine. My “routine” literally just consists of procrastination. Love y’all, see you next post.
