~”To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before”~

To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before is a new teen romantic comedy, it’s the kind of movie that is as addictive as candy, it leaves you craving it more and more. Luckily with it out on Netflix you can indulge on it as many times as you want. It is an enchanting, pure, soft film that has many teens obsessed with the characters. Because of the way they play off of familiar tropes and archetypes teens get easily attached to the nice, or main characters sides in the movie.

The concept of  To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before is one of the oldest stories out there; Its a fake dating story. In the circumstances of the movie Lara Jean (Lara Condor), a Korean-American a 16-year-old girl with an addiction to romance novels and fear of talking to boys must pretend to date Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo), the most popular guy in school. The plan they come up with helps benefit both of them, for Lara Jean it helps her buy time to get over her crush on her sisters’ ex-boyfriend. But for Peter Kavinsky the plan is intended to make his ex-girlfriend jealous.

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is a throwback to the golden age of teen movies in the ‘90s, and the ‘90s revival costumes — all slip dresses and chokers.

The film is thoughtful about contemporary teen dating etiquette. With many of the characters based in high school teens are able to related to many of the emotions, and challenges the main characters face.

Personally, as a big movie fanatic I loved the whole experience that the movie put me through. I was able to snuggle up under the blankets and experience the ups and downs of the world of teen dating. I found myself watching the movie over and over again, falling in love with the characters all over again.
