The Cavaliers finally broke their losing streak by beating the Detroit Pistons yesterday. The final score was 112-90! Larry Nance Jr. got his first start as a Cleveland Cavalier and he got such a great stat line and performance. He got 22 points, 15 rebounds, and played more minutes than LeBron James! He played 32 minutes and LeBron James only played 29. This is very surprising as LeBron almost always plays 30 minutes a game but the Cavaliers have a lot of lineups that they want to try out and they need to sit him a little bit. This could help or hurt the Cavaliers as having LeBron on the court has always given them that boost that they needed to score and defend. When LeBron is off the court they usually have other 2nd players such as Kevin Love, Kyrie Irving (when he was in Cleveland), and sort of Isaiah Thomas. Unless it is at the end of the game and they are definitely going to win. Now the Cavaliers don’t have a 2nd guy until Kevin Love comes back and now they are rotating players to fill in the 2nd guy position. This might be good for the Cavaliers as they might want to rest LeBron because he plays so much.
