Poetry Challenge Day 24: Work

WORK

Everything in life is work.

if you don’t believe in hard work,

 you don’t believe in life.

Whether your hanging out with friends,

you need to work your smile.

Whether you need to run a mile,

you need to work to reach the ends.

Point is, life is work.

If you don’t believe in work you don’t believe in life.

Poetry Challenge Day 18: Whats for Dinner?

WHATS FOR DINNER

First person to win my video game wins!

10 SECONDS LATER.

snicker snicker.

Okay, I ordered spaghetti, shrimp, salads and grilled chicken.

Get it while its hot.

Poetry Challenge Day 16: The Play

THE PLAY

I had a play

today.

The play was called The Bakers Plot.

And I played a boys puppy’s robot.

I got to school with my costume on,

though I need my makeup done.

After the silver face paint.

I went backstage and felt faint.

I peeked out,

hundreds of adults and kids screaming about.

As the curtains opened I said my lines,

that I practiced millions of times.

The show went smoothly and I started erasing every doubt,

at the end of the show I said “Now that’s what I’m talking about”

Poetry Challenge Day 15: Homework

HOMEWORK

I sat at my table,

unable,

to do my homework.

I had a paper I needed to do.

On a book that I needed to renew.

I had a math worksheet,

that was a difficult feat.

I have a test I need to study for,

on warthogs and boars.

But I’ll do this tomorrow.

Poetry Challenge Day 14: The Pink Tree

THE PINK TREE

The pink tree

was living happily,

with seeds as friends,

and weeds as foes.

The pink tree giggled,

as his pink leaves tickled.

The tree’s smile,

wasn’t at all hostile.

But soon the pink trees leaves turned pale,

the and the trees branches turned frail.

and the trees smile turned upside down,

into a sad frown.

All the way for the snow,

a non-tree friendly foe.
