Quote of the Week #3

Quote of the Week today,
Will be in poem form,
Because it is still poetry month,
So this would be out of the norm.

Amrutam tu vidya.Knowledge is eternal,
Is a sanskrit proverb.
I think it means that things we discovered decades ago aren’t forgotten,
Just added onto and relearned.

I chose that quote,
Because it’s good to know,
Our ancestors affected what we learn,
To help us thrive and grow.

Quote of the Week #2

“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” ― Eleanor Roosevelt. That is this week’s quote. A few of my teachers have this quote hanging up on a poster and I always wondered what it meant, so when I started the Quote of the week, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to find out.

I think that it means that nobody can make you feel bad or that you don’t belong without your permission. It is important to remember that it doesn’t matter what other people think about you as long you feel good about yourself, which is why I chose it.

Quote of the Week

I have decided to start something called Quote of the Week. Every few weeks, on Saturday, I will put up a new quote on the tagline (which is below the blog title), and write a little about why I chose it and what it means to me. Also, sometimes, quotes can help with writing inspiration.

This week’s quote is “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.” – Dr. Seuss. To me, this quote means that you shouldn’t spend all your time worrying about one thing. I chose it because I think that it’s important to remember to live your life to the fullest.
