My Experience with Olive Garden

Olive Garden is a chain of an ‘Italien’ restaurant. While their garlic bread is delicious I find that literally, every other experience with their menu is the exact opposite.

After going to little Italy in NYC, id say im the Alan Richman of Italian food. He’s a famous food critic. Now I’ve eaten at Olive Garden plenty of times, but I have some moments that stick out to me. A little back story before hand. My family and I don’t usually go out to eat but when we do its something simple and easy. Usually, in the case that we do go out to eat its to celebrate a little something. For example, Good grade, good sports game, or family gathering. Let the storytime begin. . .

Around 9th-grade 2nd quarter my family and I decided to go out for my approved of grades. Olive Garden wasn’t my choice but I have been once before, so there were high hopes. We arrived and got seated. First wrong in this restaurant was that they were obviously short staffed. We waited almost 30 minutes for our drinks. My mom was already fed up, but we decided to stay for the heck of it. At this point we are about to order. This waiter, the poor guy, was working so many tables but he still didn’t have the need to be as rude as he was. While everyone had their choice of food already, I was a bit indecisive about what I wanted. By the time it was my turn I really had no clue. When he asked me for the third time I didn’t respond, and his response was so harsh. Being so rushed I picked the simplest thing. Mac and Cheese. He made a snarky comment but I don’t really remember what he said. The food comes and I was all excited. Yea, that was brought down real quick. My mac and cheese was cold and almost tasted like the box mac and cheese you get at the grocery store. Then my sisters chicken wasn’t cooked all the way through. I’m almost 99.9% sure that’s a health code violation. We asked this waiter to fix this and he goes, and I quote “Its fine. Just eat it.” He walked away.

Moral of the story is Olive Garden needs to get it together. Maybe I went on a bad day for the restaurant but that is still unacceptable. We complained to the manager and he offered to redo our orders but thankfully we left.

NYC!

Recently I went to NYC! Let me tell you, it was amazing! The air was slightly polluted and always crowded but besides that it was really enjoyable. Today’s story time will be about how amazingly weird NYC is.

Let’s begin with the traffic. We almost got in an accident about 20 times. We were only there for 2 days and half the time we were walking. My feet are still sore might I add. People are so aggressive and rude. Even if there is no space they continue to try and cut you off. Half the time people weren’t even worried about hitting you. They were more worried about getting past you.

The weirdest part about the traffic is you’d think people out of traffic would rude too, but everyone is so nice. Everyone is friendly and so helpful. Half the time if you look lost and someone notices, even without asking they will try and help you navigate the city. We lost our hotel card in a store and I swear more customers then employees helped find that thing. Like how sweet!

While I don’t want to live in New York City forever I definitely think it is an experience to live there for a year. Plus their bagels are splendid.

My Encounter with Mickey Mouse

Don’t get me wrong Disney is great. Movies are cute. The kids I babysit love them so I love them (Don’t have to really do anything). Just not Disney world. So many things wrong with Disney world. For example, Overcrowded, expensive, balloons cost 15 dollars a piece, food costs more then my tuition and Mickey Mouse is rude. We’re going to be talking about Mickey Mouse.

Let me set the stage. My family and I went to Disney world. The car ride is antsy as we approach our destination. Everyone was excited! We get there and all is good. Little Sam is wearing some overpriced mickey mouse shirt her mom found at target. Now my older siblings and my dad go to the shark tank. Unfortunately, I didn’t pass the age requirement. Sad day in Disney… Anyway me and my mom go into cinderellas castle and have tea with Cinderella. I’m 10 so I get soda because what 10-year-old drinks tea. Time flys and we already have done the teapot ride, take pictures, and ride the baby rides. We meet back with my siblings and dad. They enjoyed swimming with their new fishy friends and showed pictures. The sunset was beautiful so we decided to take a picture. There is a line that we must wait in to get in the perfect picture spot with Mickey and Minnie. When we get there three things happen. 1) You have to pay 45 dollars for a picture 2) Mickey smelled like rats 3) Mickeys face was cut off in the picture. Half his face really isn’t worth the 45 dollar Christmas card worthy picture. Mickey wasn’t even fun for the kids. He just stood there and rushed the pictures. Like, excuse me… We paid 45 dollars for a picture with you stinky you can act a little happy we are paying off your school debt. Overall Mickey Mouse was rude and wasn’t worth the time.

Being in a Sport

Sports have always been part of my life. My parents played sports as well as my older siblings. This influenced my love for sports. I’ve really gone full circle with the sports I’ve played. Started off in first grade with basketball and soccer with little leagues in my community. Then by 3rg grade, I added lacrosse to my list. I loved lacrosse!! I quit basketball and soccer for 3 years. I made lacrosse my main sport. By 5th grade (My last year of lacrosse) I broke my arm during a game. I was out for the rest of the season and just never went back to it. I then started soccer and basketball up again! I kept soccer and basketball till 7th grade. I dropped basketball to play volleyball because all my friends were playing. I enjoyed it a lot and even got into a travel team for a year around sports team. Unfortunately, I stopped playing volleyball because it was no longer fun for me. My parents were a bit disappointed because I was really good. Now I’m back to soccer and basketball! I was so happy about soccer making it to travel for a season. Although, the price of travel wasn’t worth it so I didn’t continue with that league in the spring. Now I’ve been playing soccer and basketball for my high school. I love both the sports and I’m glad I went back to them! Sports have brought so much enjoyment an fun into my life. I made so many friends from far and wide. This also made outside school so much more exciting!!

The Power of Music

Music has expanded so much. Music has been apart of life since the beginning. Now i cant get the hunters and gathers to support be on that, but i have a feeling.

For me personally music is amazing. I can get lost in a song and have it on reply for the whole day and i would still get the same feeling from when i first listened to it. Then ill over play it and ruin if for myself. Music comes and so many forms. From sad to happy, to rock to indie. There is a great selection for everyone. Music can help people understand their feelings or relate to the music because of their music. This happened to me recently.

It was early in the morning and i had to be at school before the sun even came up. By the time i was at school i was grumpy and really not in a good mood. I had to change in the locker room and in the process me and this girl, we will call her Stacy, she was playing some up beat music. I was in a grumpy mood and ‘Dont Stop me Now’ was playing. All of the sudden i couldn’t help but dance. My spirits went up and i had faith in the world for a second. Not only did music cheer me up but i made a new friend.

Music is amazing is all i have to say

Story time my friends.

Adventures of riding the bus

If you don’t already ride the bus then understand all victims of bus traumatic experiences are advise not to read any further. Other wise please enjoy the Adventures of riding the bus!

Perhaps all my stories are biased because i wasn’t involved in any of the acts but even if i were there is absolutely no reasoning to why you would do these things anyway. First up on my list of stories we have the Nintendo. . . Are childhood game boy sounds like a peaceful thing to do on

the bus. Your wrong. These three boys in the front have always grinned extremely hard on these toys. I’m honestly surprised they haven’t broken the device yet. Especially the way the use it, but that is besides the point. It wasn’t abnormal that they would have their Nintendo’s out. If anything it was expected. They don’t usually sit together but that morning they were, so that’s already a sign of ‘Send help the Nintendo players are making a cult’. I ignored the OBVIOUS red sign. They were laughing and playing, and were usually the only ones talking on the bus cause my bus is dead. Then it got quiet, so of course of me being e had to peak my head out into the isle. There the Nintendoer’s sat going hard at whatever they were playing. Probably a new game that brought them together to form their pack. Skip a Little bit ahead i hear a small bit of whisper yelling. I ignored another OBVIOUS red sign. Then all the sudden i take a peak for the sake of my sanity do see this mans, stand up, lower the bus window, and THROW HIS NINTENDO OUT THE WINDOW. At first i’m confused but then it hits me that they all no longer have a Nintendo in hand they all threw them out. No forgive me if i’m wrong but a game that caused that much rage was not worth throwing a how ever much a Nintendo cost OUT THE MOVING BUS WINDOW. Not to mention i almost positive one of their game boys hit a car. Now i don’t have great eyes(I mean i have glasses) but i bid you not there was a large dent left. As if the throwing the Nintendo out a moving bus wouldn’t cause enough damage why don’t we throw them with eminence force and damage a car while were at it. I’m sitting there dumb founded while they just sit back down as if nothing happened. Like oh okay got it out of your system and now were all good.
